Adds Open Graph markup, used by Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack, and Discord.Without these tags each platform guesses at your title, description, and image, and usually guesses badly, pulling whatever image happens to be first in the markup.

Used when a page has no featured image of its own. Recommended size 1200 by 630 pixels.Smaller images are rejected by some platforms and shown as a small square by others, which looks worse than no image at all.
Without a fallback, a shared page with no featured image renders as a bare text link. Pages without featured images are usually the ones you share most: your homepage, your pricing page, your contact page.
Do not use your logo on a white background. It reads as an empty box at thumbnail size in a busy feed. Something with contrast and, if it suits your brand, a few words of text works better.

Social profiles

Your official accounts. These become sameAs links in your structured data, which is how search engines and AI assistants confirm this site and those accounts are the same organization. Rankify has fields for X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest.
Only list accounts you actually control and actually use. The purpose is identity confirmation, so a dead account from 2016 adds nothing, and pointing at an account that is not yours is worse than leaving the field empty.
This matters more than it looks. An AI assistant deciding whether to name you as a source is making a judgment about identity, and a site whose organization entity is linked to real, active accounts is easier to treat as a nameable source than one that is just a domain.

Per-page overrides

The settings here are defaults. Any page can override its own social title, description, and image in the editor’s Rankify panel. Worth doing for pages you promote deliberately, where the message you want in a feed is not the same as the message you want in a search result.
Values another SEO plugin stored for social title, description, and image are read as a fallback, so previews you set up in Yoast or Rank Math keep working. See switching to Rankify.

Testing a preview

Platforms cache aggressively. After changing an image or a title, the old version can persist for days unless you force a refresh.

Facebook and LinkedIn

Use their sharing debuggers to fetch the page again and clear the cache.

Post the link in a draft and check the card.

Slack or WhatsApp

Paste the link into a message to yourself. These follow Open Graph and give you a quick honest preview.
