FAQ

Switching, ranking expectations, and answer engines.
Two checks answer most reports on their own:
1

Is the site blocking search engines?

Settings > Reading. If Discourage search engines is ticked, nothing else in the plugin matters.
2

Is another SEO plugin active?

Two plugins writing the same tags is the cause of most duplicate-tag reports.

What to include

1

The URL where it happens

A specific page, not just your homepage.
2

What you expected and what you see

For a tag problem, paste the relevant lines from View source rather than describing them. It is usually immediately obvious which plugin wrote what.
3

What Search Console says

For an indexing question, run URL Inspection on the page and include the reason it gives. That tells you more than any plugin setting can.
4

Which SEO plugin you came from

If you switched recently. Rankify reads several plugins’ stored values, and knowing which one explains a lot of surprising output.
5

Your versions

Rankify version, WordPress version, PHP version, and whether Pro is active.

Things support cannot fix

Worth knowing before you write, so you are not waiting on an answer that does not exist.
Google substitutes its own when it judges it more useful for the query. No plugin setting overrides that. Shorter, more accurate titles get rewritten less often.
Search engines recrawl on their own schedule. Submitting a sitemap and using URL Inspection is the most you can do.
Valid markup makes a page eligible, not guaranteed. Google decides per query, and a page that does not rank has no result to enrich.
You can make a page reachable, structured, and identifiable. Which sources an assistant names is its own judgment.

Reporting something that looks like a bug

Narrow it first. Switching to a default theme and deactivating other plugins separates a Rankify bug from a conflict. Say which you tried and what changed. A page URL where the wrong output is visible is worth more than a description of it, because the output can be read directly.

Feature requests

Send them to the same address. Say what you are trying to accomplish rather than the feature you have in mind.
