Troubleshooting

Symptoms, causes, and which exclusion list fixes them.

FAQ

Compatibility, caching, and the score.
Two checks answer most reports on their own:
1

Purge everything, then look again

A page cached before your change is still being served. This is the single most common cause of a report.
2

Turn off the last setting you enabled

Purge again. If the problem goes away, you have found it, and the fix is usually an exclusion rather than leaving the feature off.

What to include

1

The URL where it happens

A specific page, not just your homepage. Say which template it uses if you know.
2

Which setting you last changed

And whether turning it off resolves the problem.
3

Your cache status

From the overview page: active, wpconfig, or dropin.
4

Your stack

Host, whether you use a CDN, and any other caching or optimization plugin.
5

Your versions

Lightify version, WordPress version, PHP version, and whether Pro is active.
For a visual problem, a screenshot plus the browser console output is worth several paragraphs of description. Console errors usually name the script that a defer or delay setting broke.

Reporting something that looks like a bug

Narrow it first. Switching to a default theme and deactivating other plugins takes a few minutes and separates a Lightify bug from a conflict. Say which you tried and what changed. If the problem is a specific theme or plugin breaking under a specific optimization, that is the most useful report you can send, because it can often be fixed for everyone rather than excluded on your site alone.

Feature requests

Send them to the same address. Say what you are trying to accomplish rather than the feature you have in mind.
