Requirements

The free features need nothing beyond WordPress. Toxicity checking and image alt text run models in the browser, and related posts, smart compose, and the content summary button are handled by your own server.

Install the free plugin

Search the plugin directory

In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New and search for Generatify.

Install and activate

Select Install Now, then Activate. A Generatify item appears in the admin menu.

Open the settings

Go to Generatify > Settings and turn on the features you want. Nothing is enabled beyond the AI page agent and smart compose.

Install Pro from a ZIP

Pro is a separate plugin rather than an unlock applied to the free one, so it is distributed as a ZIP instead of through the plugin directory.

Download the ZIP

Sign in at daftplug.com/account and download the Generatify Pro archive.

Upload it

Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, and select Install Now.

Activate

Select Activate Plugin. If the free version is installed and active, Generatify deactivates it for you, so there is nothing to uninstall first.
Your settings survive the switch. Both versions read the same generatify_settings option, so everything you configured on free is still there, and going back later loses nothing either.

Activate your license

Pro features stay locked until the license is activated on the site.

Open the activation screen

After activating Pro, WordPress shows an activation notice. You can also reach it from Generatify > Account.

Enter your license key

Paste the key from your purchase confirmation email, then select Activate License.

Confirm

Reload Generatify > Settings. The Connectors tab is now editable, and fields that carried a Pro badge are unlocked.
DaftPlug is sold as one membership rather than as separate plugins. The same license key activates Generatify and every other DaftPlug Pro plugin. Plans differ only in how many sites you can activate on. Deactivating a site you no longer use frees that activation for another site.

What the plugin stores

API keys are stored in the options table like any other setting. Anyone with administrator access to the site, or with database access, can read them. Give each site its own key rather than reusing one across sites, so a single key can be revoked without disturbing the rest.
