Requirements

HTTPS is not optional. Browsers refuse to register a service worker on an insecure origin, and without a service worker there are no install prompts, no offline caching, and no push notifications. The only exception browsers make is localhost.

Install the free plugin

Search the plugin directory

In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New and search for Progressify.

Install and activate

Select Install Now, then Activate. A Progressify item appears in the admin menu.

Open the overview

Go to Progressify > Overview. The PWA scorecard lists whatever still needs your attention.

Install Pro from a ZIP

Pro is a separate plugin rather than an unlock applied to the free one, so it is distributed as a ZIP instead of through the plugin directory.

Download the ZIP

Sign in at daftplug.com/account and download the Progressify Pro archive.

Upload it

Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, and select Install Now.

Activate

Select Activate Plugin. If the free version is installed and active, Progressify deactivates it for you, so there is nothing to uninstall first.
Your settings survive the switch. Both versions read the same progressify_settings option, so everything you configured on free is still there, and going back later loses nothing either.

Activate your license

Pro features stay locked until the license is activated on the site.

Open the activation screen

After activating Pro, WordPress shows an activation notice. You can also reach it from Progressify > Account.

Enter your license key

Paste the key from your purchase confirmation email, then select Activate License.

Confirm

Reload Progressify > Settings. Fields that previously carried a Pro badge are now editable.
DaftPlug is sold as one membership rather than as separate plugins. The same license key activates Progressify and every other DaftPlug Pro plugin. Plans differ only in how many sites you can activate on. Deactivating a site you no longer use frees that activation for another site.

What the plugin creates

On activation Progressify writes a small number of files and one option. If the service worker or the icons are missing, the scorecard on the overview page flags it. Saving the settings screen regenerates both.
